Payment Methods

Zerano accepts major cards, secure digital wallets, Shop Pay, and selected local methods. The final payment options shown at checkout can still vary by country, device, browser, and eligibility.

Accepted payment methods

Express checkout

Shop Pay is accepted when available for the shopper and device.

Cards

Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and UnionPay are currently enabled.

Wallets

Apple Pay and Google Pay are enabled on supported devices and browsers.

Local methods

Bancontact is enabled for eligible Belgian shoppers. Availability is shown automatically at checkout when the order qualifies.

How payment availability works

Not every payment method appears for every customer. Shopify checkout decides which methods to display based on country, currency, device, browser support, and the specific order context.

Digital wallets depend on compatible devices and browser settings, while local payment methods can be limited to customers in specific markets.

If you change market or country selection on the storefront, the available checkout methods may change too.

Security and verification

Encrypted checkout

Payments are processed through secure, encrypted checkout flows designed to protect your information.

Bank verification

Your bank or provider may request an additional authentication step before authorising the transaction.

Market-aware checkout

Country, currency, and eligibility rules influence which methods can be displayed to the shopper.

Authorisations, capture and refunds

When will I be charged?

The exact timing depends on the payment method used. Some providers first place an authorisation before the final capture is completed.

How are refunds returned?

Approved refunds are normally sent back through the original payment method used for the purchase. Final posting time depends on your payment provider and bank.

What if a payment fails?

If checkout rejects a payment, verify the card or wallet details, make sure your billing information matches, and try again or use another available method shown at checkout.

Current payment configuration

The final checkout still decides which of the enabled methods can be shown to an individual shopper.

If a preferred payment method does not appear, the most common reasons are market eligibility, browser or device limitations, or provider-side availability.
